The second annual Public Safety Expo was held at the Mall at Greece Ridge Saturday.
The event featured more than twenty different public safety organizations in Monroe County including the Greece and Rochester Police Departments, Crime Stoppers, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Bomb truck and more.
Demonstrations were hosted by Chip, the Greece Police Dog, the Barnard Fire Department and the RPD's SWAT team.
"We think it's really important that people know and understand everything they have available to them. Sometimes people think their only avenue is to call the police department. They don't know that they can get a hold of the DEC, the DEA. So this gives us a chance to really showcase all the agencies that we have in the Rochester area," said Marty Murray, Police Chief Interactive Committee member.
The Public Safety Expo was created by the Police Chief’s Interactive Committee, comprised of residents and business representatives in the Greece area.
