PEMBROKE, N.Y. — According to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office, alcohol may have played a role in a crash that sent a car through a house.
Deputies say Jason Purdy, 34, drove his SUV through the dining room of an Akron Road home in the Town of Pembroke Tuesday night.
The family of four was home at the time and saw everything.
"He came up the driveway about 100 miles an hour or better, and I thought he was going to hit the car parked here in the driveway and I said, this guy isn't going to stop! And then I saw the house explode," said homeowner Peter Swedsen.
"Then I turned and our house was gone," said Lynette Swedsen.
Purdy has not been charged at this time.
