The prosecution rested its case in the murder trial of Rose Chase Wednesday. The defense then promptly asked for a dismissal, which the judge denied.
Chase is accused of killing her husband Adam Chase, dismembering his body and then burning his remains.
Video where Rose Chase allegedly confesses to investigators that she did kill her husband Adam was played in court. In the video, she tells investigators an argument began one day in June where she and her husband called in sick to work to talk about a picture of her kissing another man.
She said she doesn't know whether she intentionally pushed him down the stairs, but she did admit to taking his remains to her mother's property in Yates County and burning the body.
If convicted, she faces 25 years to life in prison.
