The Orleans County building destroyed by fire earlier this week was torn down Friday.
Demolition crews tore down the remaining walls to the Orleans Palet Company on West Avenue in Albion. The three-story stone building was more than a century old.
Firefighters spent most of Friday putting out hot sports before the shell was knocked down. Authorities say the building was used mostly for storage, but a worker grinding some pipeline on the second floor may have accidentally started the fire.
No one was injured. No word yet on what the pallet company will do with the property.
