Bestselling children's book author Todd Parr spent some time in the town of Greece Thursday.
The writer and illustrator shared his inspirational and modern family stories with children at Autumn Lane Elementary School.
"We have been looking forward to this for six months. I love his books because they are so simple that my primary readers who are developing readers can feel empowered and come in and say 'I read this Todd Parr book all by myself,' and that is so exciting for them," said Kate Boggs, Autumn Lane Elementary School Librarian.
"Whatever they take away from the experience at the end is positive and I do not think it is intimidating. It is a simple style and always the offbeat humor like in 'It's Okay to Be Different' it is like it is okay to eat macaroni and cheese in the bathtub and the kids are like 'what'?" said author Todd Parr.
One of the many messages Parr promotes is to be happy with who you are.
Parr is from California but has family in Henrietta and Geneseo. He is also a Buffalo Bills fan.
He has two new books coming out in December and another next year.
