The Rochester Broadway Theatre League is warning theatregoers of steep resell prices of tickets from unofficial sellers.
Secondary ticketing, commonly known as ticket scalping, can often lead to doubled or tripled ticket prices.
With RBTL 's upcoming performance of "War Horse," Tickets bought from the box office range between $37 and $72, but the RBTL says unofficial ticket sellers are pricing them for more than $200.
RBTL warns patrons to only buy tickets from official sellers not only because of the prices but some tickets may also be fake. RBTL's official ticketing partner is Ticketmaster. Tickets bought from anywhere other than the Ticketmaster website or the box office are not priced by the RBTL and may not be real.
