The murder trial is scheduled to begin next week in Seneca County Court for a man accused of killing his own son.
The murder trial of Karl Karlsen begins Friday, November 1.
Karlsen is accused of causing a pickup truck to fall off a jack in 2008, crushing son, Levi Karlsen, 23, to death.
He also faces fraud charges for filing a will for his son, naming himself as sole beneficiary. That will was filed the day before Levi's death.
It included custody of Levi's two children and a $700,000 life insurance policy taken out only a few weeks earlier.
Earlier this month, a judge ruled Karlsen's statements made to his wife while she was wearing a wire could be used in the trial.
