A local girls soccer team have taken on quite a challenge to raise money for the Villa of Hope this weekend.
The Empire United Soccer Academy's Girls Under 10 Team is dribbling a soccer ball for 100 miles.
The event lasts about 19 hours and the girls hope to raise $18,000 by the time they're done Sunday morning.
Half of the money raised will be donated to the Villa of Hope.
"What I kind of dreamed up for these guys is a way that kids can help other kids," said Empire United Soccer Coach. "It's a nice, healthy activity, we're raising money for a great charity and it's team bonding."
The Villa of Hope helps at-risk youth rise above emotional and behavioral challenges and build their strengths.
