We are learning more about a Macedon police officer accused of tampering with evidence and stealing money.
Police charged Edward O'Konsky, 38, of Farmington with grand larceny and falsifying business records.
In court paperwork, it states between July of 2012 and this month, O'Konsky allegedly stole $2,200 in a series of bank withdrawals from the Macedon Association of Police Officers.
It also states that O'Konsky $600 worth of steaks that were stolen from retailers and being held as evidence and eventually destroying them. He's also accused of taking $200 that was supposed to be for a cop softball tournament.
He is suspended without pay during the investigation.
A civil service hearing is scheduled for Nov. 12.
