A Rochester man convicted in a double shooting that left one man dead and another permanently injured received the maximum sentence.
A judge sentenced Charles Perkins, 26, to 50 years to life in prison.
A jury previously convicted Perkins of murder and assault for his part in the shooting of Robert and Devon Vinson back in May of 2012. The brothers were assaulted on Saxton Street and during the fight, Perkins picked up a gun dropped by one of the attackers and shot both victims.
Robert died at the scene, but Devon survived with serious injuries.
