The community, staff, students and alumni from the East Rochester School District held a benefit for one of their own.
A 2003 graduate of the school, Mariah Rose Essom, suffered from a stroke on October 5th.
Sunday evening, East Rochester High School put together a concert to help her and her family pay for the medical bills.
Essom was a founding member of the school's irish/celtic performing group 13 years ago. The concert held at Mcgraws was Irish themed in her honor.
"This is someone who has had this really terrible thing happen but it's someone who has affected so mant people's lives and there are so many people here who want to give back," said Mark Gowman, ERHS Music Teacher.
There's an account accepting donations for Mariah. More than $26,000 dollars has already been raised.
