A former Broadway dancer has found a new home off-stage at a retreat house in Vermont where she now choreographs vacations. YNN's Valarie D'Elia filed the following report.

Vermont’s Route 100 is an unlikely extension of the Great White Way for a former Broadway dancer who is now creating vacations instead of kicking up her heels.

"When I saw this house, I thought, man, we could have about 20 people, and fill up the yoga room, have a chef, run around to little Vermont artisan shops and it can be a build your own adventure weekend," says Good Commons Owner Tesha Buss.

Tesha, who appeared for two years as Rumpelteazer in the Broadway musical "Cats", is now entertaining her urban guests with designer getaways, including convenient door-to-door shuttle service from Manhattan.

"You don’t have to worry about driving, there is food on the bus, delicious cocktails prepared to get everyone relaxed and in the mood," says Brooklyn resident Anna Peters.

Many of the retreats offer a yoga component, and can range from food and wine weekends to weddings and business retreats. The renovated house, which has its origins as a 19th century general store, puts the emphasis on community and affordability.

"A communal sleeping loft actually works for a lot of people. Usually that pricing for the weekend, starts around $575. Usually private bedroom spaces or shared bedroom spaces are $700 to $850," explains Buss.

While Tesha says her Broadway days are behind her, she has no regrets.

"I love what I do now because it’s sustainable. Being a Broadway dancer was electrifying," says Buss.

Her light now shines for her guests, even in the thick of the Vermont woods.
