This recall involves about 82,000 Pottery Barn Kids drop side cribs. The CPSC said it received 36 complaints of drop sides malfunctioning. Seven minor injuries were reported.

The cribs were sold from January of 1999 to March of 2010 at Pottery Barn Kids stores, catalogs and online.

Meanwhile, The Consumer Product Safety Commission voted unanimously to approve new mandatory standards to address crib hazards.

The new rules would expand on old ones calling for more in-depth and stricter testing of cribs including mattress support. This is in addition to standards already approved calling for the elimination of traditional drop side cribs.
