Skippy Reduced Fat Peanut Butter Recalled
Unilever says its recalling two types of its Skippy peanut butter because they may be contaminated with salmonella. The two being recalled are the Skippy Reduced Fat Creamy Peanut Butter Spread and the Skippy Reduced Fat Super Chunk Peanut Butter Spread.
The peanut butter is packaged in 16.3 oz plastic jars, and has a best-if-used-by-date stamped on the lid of the jar between May 16 and May 21. No illnesses have been reported.
Salmonella was found as part of a routine sampling program completed by the company. Tops Friendly Markets says it has removed the recalled product from its store shelves.
