Meet Trader Jack. He's been in the flea market business most of his life. Eight months ago he set up shop in Charlotte. Jack's a colorful old soul who caught my eye as I drove by.

Trader Jack's first official job was at the age of 14. He worked at a concession stand on the beach in Charlotte spinning cotton candy. Dozens of jobs later, in as many states, he has returned to Charlotte to run a flea market.

"Flea market is my life.” Jack says. “If I can do something for somebody, get them something that that can’t normally get, that makes me feel good inside."

The community of Charlotte, it seems, has called him home. Not only to run his business, but to meet a new friend.

Trader Jack's is located on Lake Avenue in Charlotte. For more information contact (585) 754-3125.
