Cherry tomato pops out, peas suffering
Our cherry tomato plant has fruit! A small tomato has popped out in the past few days. This is the plant that we have in our homemade topsy turvy container We also have a tomato on one our other tomato plants so it looks as if we should have some to harvest It's satisfying to see some of our plants doing well. I say some because not all are doing as well as hoped.
I have concerns over our pea plants, which are now withering. I don't know if the heat of the past week did them in or if it's a case of too much water or perhaps some form of blight. I did some research and it may be due to poor drainage or root rot. I'm not sure. Either way it doesn't look good for the peas.
Better news for our carrots though, which are doing extremely well. They appear to be healthy and growing quite well in their container.
The official Topsy Turvy planter that contains cayenne peppers is doing great. We have good growth with the cayennes but our habanera still hasn't blossomed.
Speaking of blossoms, we have a flower on our cantaloupe plant!. We'll wait and see how this melon plant does.
