While our garden continues to grow, some of our plants have died off. I'm talking about our pea plants, which are done for the season. They produced some small pods with peas that had some sweetness but many tasted bland.

Our carrots are doing well. I tried one and it was pretty good. It was small but tasty.

The cucumber plant is budding with plenty of blossoms. We'll see how much fruit we get from it, hopefully plenty. I like cucumbers and they taste great in a salad or with just a little vinegar and oil, salt and pepper.

We also have blossoms on our cantaloupe, and I can see some tiny buds on our watermelon plant. That's the first sign of growth I've seen on the watermelons all season.

If you like cayenne peppers we've got 'em! They are doing quite well and are getting larger by the day.
