Fate of Senator Monserrate
The fate of downstate Senator Hiram Monserrate continues to rest in the hands of his colleagues. No decision has been made yet on whether he will lose his Senate seat. Our Kaitlyn Ross has more on when we can expect to see the Monserrate issue resolved.

NEW YORK STATE – "We will be introducing a resolution sometime this week and actually bring it up Monday," said Senator Cathy Young.
Sixteen months after Monserrate's arrest, Young says action on the issue is long overdue.
"I hear from people all over the state about this and they're all very concerned. They deserve closure too," Young said.
Young was part of the committee that issued the report on Monserrate over a month ago. She believes that if the full Senate is allowed to vote, the Queens Senator will be expelled.
"I believe we have a vote to get it passed," said Young.
Senate Democrats we spoke with tend to agree. But they think Republicans are just trying to score points by threatening to bring a resolution to the floor on Monday.
"I believe the resolution introduced by Senator Brian Foley is in the finance committee now and the chair has indicated that we'll vote on it next week and I'm not sure what the Republicans are talking about," said Senator Eric Schneiderman.
When it will be discussed in the Senate, however, is still up in the air and conference leader John Sampson says it will be at his discretion.
"The decision on when a resolution comes to the floor is mine," Sampson said. "When a resolution comes to the floor is my decision."
