Republican candidate Bill Nojay won the 133rd Assembly District.

He beat out challengers Democrat Randolph Weaver, and Richard Burke of the Conservative party.

"Politics is a team sport. You win some games, you lose some games; but, the teams holds together. We've got a great team here in Monroe County, politics is a game of perseverance. We're all gonna be around for the next round, we're all gonna stick together and we're all gonna send a message. Monroe County Republicans know how to win races with the ups and the downs we weather it through. Thank you very much. It was a great campaign and I appreciate all of your support," Nojay said.

He will now represent constituents in Monroe, Livingston and Steuben counties.
