Monroe County and Rochester city officials have ordered mandatory evacuations.

Mayor Tom Richards and County Executive Maggie Brooks have ordered mandatory evacuations of more than 2,200 homes along the Lake Ontario Shoreline. That includes some homes in Greece, Rochester, and Irondequoit.

Because of the evacuations, additional shelters are open. They are: Sweden Community Center, Greece Olympia High School, the Dome Arena in Henrietta. This is the only shelter that allows pets.

Also, Brighton Presbyterian Church, and Webster Recreation Center.
