Outlet Bridge to Open to Let Barge Out of Irondequoit Bay
The Irondequoit Bay Outlet Bridge will briefly open Thursday to allow a barge to depart from the bay. The storm prevented the barge from leaving.
The Department of Transportation will close the bridge to all vehicle traffic beginning promptly at 9 a.m. Any other boaters wishing to move their boats in or out of the Irondequoit Bay should do so between 11 a.m. and noon.
The bridge will then close for the remainder of the winter season. Vehicular traffic will resume around 3.
