Sunday Stroll to Benefit Haiti

Sunday Stroll to Benefit Haiti
It was a nice fall day for a stroll and a chance to raise money for Haiti.

St. Louis Church in Pittsford hosted a two-mile walk through the village Sunday.

Proceeds from the stroll benefit Friends of the Orphans in Haiti. The group runs the only free pediatric hospital in Haiti, in addition to two orphanages, rehabilitation clinics, day camps, and bread and water distribution.

"The earthquake was on January 12 and before that even Haiti was in desperate straights and now it's even worst than ever. We really need to keep helping them out and try to get them back on their feet, and that's why we are all joined together today," said Kathleen McMahon, St. Louis Church.

A number of churches, schools and non-profit groups took part in the stroll.
