It was Italian Heritage Night at Coca-Cola Field in Buffalo and a quick, two-game series for the Bisons against the Red Wings.

Rochester got three on Bisons' ace Pat Misch in the second, with two runs scoring on an opposite field double from DeAngelo Jimenez.

The Red Wings kept it going in the third as Brendan Harris hit his second home run as a Red Wing this season. The two-run shot left a 5-0 Rochester lead.

In the fourth, Trevor Plouffe tacked on another with his 14th home run of the season and his second off Misch this year.

One of the league's greatest power-hitters, Mike Hesseman, hit a gapper off of Glen Perkins, caught by a diving Brian Dinkleman.

Perkins went seven innings scattering seven hits for his fourth win, 9-2 over the Bisons.
