Rochester Amerks traded in their hockey sticks for baseball bats to raise money for former player Craig "Sharky" Charron.

They battled against local coaches and members of the media, including our own Kevin Carroll, in a charity softball game before the Red Wings took the field. Charron is undergoing treatment for cancer, and has the support of the community.

“He's gotta fight that fight. All we can really do for him is pray, have faith, and fate, and raise money. And we're all doing that," said Brian McKinnon, Amerks Alumni.

Hockey memorabilia was also raffled off during the game to raise money for Sharky.
