Red Wings Beat Scranton, Finally
After losing all ten of its games against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season, Rochester finally beat the Yankees on Friday, 5-4.
The Red Wings jumped out to a 3-0 lead thanks to a pair of rbi doubles by Trevor Plouffe and a run scoring single by Jose Morales. Scranton rallied to tie it with a three run third inning.
Rochester regained the lead, 4-3 on a solo home run by Dustin Martin in the seventh. The Yankees squared it again before the Red Wings went ahead for good in the eighth. Wilson Ramos hit a two out single to score Brendan Harris to make it 5-4.
Relief pitcher Rob Delaney struck out the side in the ninth for his first save. That's three straight wins for Rochester, tying its season high streak.
