BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Sabres had a few minutes to catch their breath on Sunday and Monday, as the team made a brief stop home before heading off to New Jersey for their final game before the All-Star Break.
The Sabres will have Christian Ehrhoff back for Tuesday night's game against the Devils. The puck-moving defenseman has 17 points in 37 games so far this season. He's been out since December 30th with a rib injury.
The Sabres were back on the ice Monday at the Northtown Center in Amherst. The big question - how can they rebound from 12 straight road losses, and get their game back on track.
"It's been like this for a while, and you have to answer for it. That's part of the job, having to continually answer the questions, answer why, and it's hard, but like I said, it's part of the job, and all we can do is continue to keep working. All we're worried about now is having our best game against Jersey. That's all we can do," said Drew Stafford.
"You put pressure on yourself, no matter what. No matter if you have a letter or not, you have to help the team win games. That's the bottom line," said Jason Pominville. "I think everyone in the room wants to win, wants to battle, and wants to help the team and their teammates out. Now it's about trying to get our confidence back, and a good way to do that is playing well defensively and trying to limit their opportunities."
