A big weekend on tap for the Rochester Lancers indoor soccer team as they hit the road for a pair of games.
For the first time this season, the 7-9 Lancers will play back-to-back games this weekend. Saturday, they're in Baltimore for a 7 p.m. game against the Blast. Then in a quick turnaround, they'll face Norfolk at 2 p.m. Sunday.
It's a tall task for a team looking to climb the standings.
"Especially on the road, it's going to be a tough challenge, playing one of the best teams in Baltimore and then Norfolk where we lost the last time down there, so we have a tough challenge ahead of us, but if we can come out and get two victories, it will help us solidify a playoff position," said Doug Miller, forward.
"We got to do it. It's not going to be easy. We can't save energy for the Sunday game. We got to do everything on Saturday and leave everything on the field and then after that game we start thinking about the Sunday game. We're going to play one hundred percent hard on Saturday first, and then we take care of the Sunday game," said Mauricio Salles, forward.
