OLEAN, N.Y. — The fantastic season for the St. Bonaventure women's basketball team got a little better on Monday with the program's first ever national ranking.
After just missing out the past two weeks, the Bonnies checked in at #25 in the country in latest poll from the Associated Press.
It's the first time any women's team from the Big Four has ever been ranked, and the first time we've had a local ranked team since the Bona men in 1971.
The Bonnies beat George Washington Saturday, and now lead the Atlantic 10 at 9-0. Their 22 wins are third most in the nation this season.
