Players from the Rochester Amerks traded their skates in for bingo cards on Thursday. The patients at Golisano Children's Hospital got to meet the players and have some fun.
Four Amerks players spent part of the day with the kids. The players say the children where shy at first but really broke out of their shell once the games started.
"We're just hanging out with the kids playing bingo, and any other games. We can play with them and have fun and just give them a break from what they're going through," said Drew MacIntyre, goalie.
Parents say this is a good change for the kids and boosts their spirits.
