Regier Shares Thoughts on Sabres and Amerks
While the Sabres didn't make the playoffs this past season, a few of the team's prospects are getting a taste of postseason experience in the minors.

Sabres general manager Darcy Regier was in Toronto Saturday watching the Rochester Americans playoff game, and said a lot of the Sabres young players will play an important role for the team next season.

"That's why (I am) here watching these guys play," Regier said. "For the Amerks, I think it's important both as a team and individually, some players you're looking at to make steps next season and make an impact on our hockey club (in Buffalo)."

Regier also expressed optimism for the Sabres future.

"We've got to reduce the injury numbers and I think that'll start there," he continued. "Then I think we've got to look for growth in some of the younger players that especially played well down the stretch, and I think we'll get an impact from them as well."
