Bills bring back WR Martin
The Bills opened a lot of eyes by electing to keep only four wide receivers on cut down day, but they're back up to five now. The team signed Ruvell Martin, after releasing the 29 year old during their final cuts. Martin caught seven passes for 82 yards and tied for second in special teams tackles (9) for the Bills in 2011. He was signed to the 53-man roster on September 13. Martin has totaled 72 catches for 1,088 yards and seven touchdowns in 68 games since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent with San Diego in 2004.
The Bills also placed CB Ron Brooks on Injured Reserve/Designated for Return. Under this designation, Brooks will be eligible to return to practice after being on Injured Reserve for at least six weeks. He will be eligible to return to the Active List after being on Injured Reserve for at least eight weeks.
