Fred Jackson Ready for Jets
Like many season openers, a lot of firsts going into Sunday's Bills game at the Jets. First game for Mario Williams as a Bill. First NFL game for top pick Stephon Gilmore. And first game back from injury for Fred Jackson.
Jackson's 2011 season got off to a great start, before a broken leg landed him on injured reserve. In just 10 games, Jackson nearly broke the thousand yard mark while adding six touchdowns. Having already found the end zone in the preseason, Jackson is healthy and ready for the regular season.
"Yeah, it is huge," Jackson said. "This is what I want to do and I wasn’t able to do it last year. I didn’t finish the season like I wanted to and I want to go out and pick up where I left off. And it’s a great opportunity to do so against a divisional opponent."
