As a new week begins, the NHL remains in the early stages of a lockout, with labor talks continuing to be stalled at this point. TSN is reporting that Steve Fehr and Bill Daily are continuing to have informal contact, but that neither side is expecting formal negotiations to resume until Wednesday at the earliest.

It would be positive if the sides returned to the table this week. Back in 2004, formal talks did not resume until December.
