Amerks to Play Home Game in Buffalo
The National Hockey League lockout is having an impact on the Rochester Amerks AHL team.
The Amerks announced Thursday they'll be playing one of their games in Buffalo.
The Amerks home game against the Hamilton Bulldogs, originally scheduled for October 21st in Rochester, is being moved to Tuesday October 23rd in Buffalo. The game will be played at First Niagara Center in Buffalo.
Earlier this week, the team announced that several of the Buffalo Sabres who are assigned to minor league contracts are expected to play with the Amerks.
Amerks season ticket holders will not face additional charges for this game.
The Amerks home opener at the Blue Cross Arena is scheduled for October 12th against the Syracuse Crush.
