Bills embarrassed by loss to Patriots

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) - Buffalo Bills coach Chan Gailey is questioning his players' mental toughness a day after the team's embarrassing second-half collapse against New England.

Placing the blame on everyone, including himself, Gailey called it his responsibility on Monday to address how Buffalo squandered a 14-point lead, allowing the Patriots to score 45 second-half points in rallying to a 52-28 win.

He was unhappy with how his high-priced defense was pushed around, and the six turnovers committed by the offense.

Injuries are also becoming a concern for Buffalo (2-2), which prepares to play at San Francisco on Sunday in opening a stretch of playing four of its next five on the road. Starting offensive linemen Cordy Glenn and Kraig Urbik are both expected to miss at least a week with ankle injuries.
