UB Confident in Zordich at QB
UB faces a major test when they visit unbeaten Ohio on Saturday, and they'll need a stronger performance from quarterback Alex Zordich than they've had the past two games.
The Bulls are coming off back-to-back losses in which quarterback Alex Zordich struggled with accuracy in the passing game.
Zordich completed just 17 of 52 passes combined in losses to Kent State and Connecticut.
While Zordich is also dangerous with his legs, head coach Jeff Quinn says he has to be more effective through the air. Quinn remains confident in his junior signal caller.
"We tell him look, you're our starting quarterback, you're the guy that we're going with," said Quinn. "And we just gotta get better from that standpoint. But we also have to be mindful and conscientious of what's best to help us win games, and we don't want to lose thought of that either."
Williamsville South high school product Joe Licata is the backup quarterback and has seen limited action in two games this season.
