Honeoye Falls-Lima swim coach Norm Schueckler going for his 500th win as coach for both the boys and girls teams at the school.

His Lady Cougars welcomed in Brighton Tuesday night and they didn't disappoint pulling away from the Barons with wins in the meet's final four events.

HF-L's Amy Lee, Madison Sullivan, Melissa Villanti and Riley Allen combined to take the 200 Free Relay in 1:46.91

In the 100 backstroke, senior Jordan Reed touched the wall first in 1:07.38

Then in the 100 breaststroke, Cougar freshman Grace Baumer won with a time of 1:11.46

Earlier in the meet, senior Cari Stankaitis set pool records in the 50 and 100 free and also qualified for states in 100 butterfly.

For good measure, she swam the opening leg of the 400 relay, combining with Villanti, Sullivan and Allen to win the event and clinch the win for their coach.

The team celebrated with the traditional "dunking" of the coach. In his 31st season, Schueckler is the only coach HF-L swimmers have ever known.

"These kids are all saying, it's so great for you and I said no, it's for you guys," said HF-L Swim Coach, Norm Schueckler. "I've had this fun for 31 years working with kids and seeing them achieve their goals and they're the ones that have done the work and I just came along for the ride."

"He's been here forever. He's built our entire program. He's been great. I've been on the team for five years and it's been solid and we've improved every single year. He's really great with both the girls and boys and He's just a really great coach," said Cari Stankaitis, HF-L Senior.
