Longtime Red Wings Broadcaster Dies
Former long time Red Wings announcer Joe Cullinane has died.
Wings general manager Dan Mason says Cullinane was the Red Wings broadcaster for 13 seasons, from 1962 to 1974, where he called more games than any other broadcaster in team history.
Cullinane was inducted into the Red Wings Hall of Fame in 1995.
He died Friday night at his home in Denver, Colorado. He was 89 years old.
