Many Bills fans are hoping that the bye week can make a difference for quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. So far this season, he's been unable to get back to last season's early form. The 29 year old has posted a passer rating above 100 in three games - the Chiefs, Browns, and Titans. But he has failed to top 225 yards in any of those outings. The only time he's gotten over 300 this year was against the Patriots - a four interception game.
"I have not had a good year and it has been for a number of reasons, but it is something that you just have to continue to work at," said Fitzpatrick. "This season has been a disappointment. I think nobody expected us to be 3-4. I think it is good that we are disappointed.
"It just (stinks) that this is now another season that we feel that disappointment. Right now I think we feel urgency that we have to get this thing going before it is lost."
Fans are hoping a Bills turnaround can start with him.
