Nix wants to draft a 'good young quarterback'
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Bills General Manager Buddy Nix was on radio station WGR 550 on Friday morning talking about the current state of the Bills.
He said some parts of the team haven't taken the step forward that he expect to this year, especially on defense.
The Bills currently sit at 3-4 coming out of their bye week in 3rd place in the division.
One of the biggest points Nix made was that he wants to pick up a new quarterback to help lead the franchise back in the right direction.
"We want to draft a good young quarterback. I don't wanna leave here without a franchise guy for the future in place. I've never said that before, but I'm saying it now because it's a fact," Nix said.
Nix said the Bills could have gone after a quarterback in this past year's draft, but they had too many other needs to fill to compete with the Redskins and Colts, who picked quarterbacks at #1 and #2, on draft day.
