It was good old American football at Hobart. The Statesmen hosting Wittenberg in round two of the Division 3 National tournament.
Down 3-0, quarterback Nick Strang headed to the far sideline and scored from 30 yards out, 7-3 Hobart at the half.
Strang dealing with a nagging injury, his back up, Kelly Olney, filled in nicely, scoring from 12 yards and it was 21-10 Statesmen.
The combination of Dundee grad Steven Webb and Bobby Dougherty (dockerty) had 215 yards rushing and both scored in the fourth quarter.
Hobart will face St. Thomas of Minnesota in the quarterfinals.
