Mike Pettine is now the teams defensive coordinator. It's considered a nice get by the Bills. Pettine was running defense for Rex Ryan and the Jets the last four years and they put up big numbers.

Pettine shared some of his thoughts on the defensive philosophy he hopes to bring.

"We're gonna be smart, we're gonna be tough, we're gonna be relentless. We're gonna pressure you. We're gonna force you to make decisions under uncomfortable circumstances. If you're gonna make a decision, you're gonna have to do it quick. We want to disguise what we do. NFL quarterbacks are too good. If they know what in pre-snap, it's over. But to me the foundation of what we do is going to be based on fundamentals," Pettine said.

Also made official Thursday, Marrone has who he wants to run the Bills offense in the same guy he had running the offense in Syracuse, Nathaniel Hackett.
