Lancers Fight for the Win in Chicago
The Rochester Lancers (8-14) took on Chicago Soul (9-13) Friday night in Chicago. Trailing behind most of the evening, the Lancers were able to come back in the fourth, scoring ten points to end the game 19-15.

The Lancers opened the match-up with a goal less than four minutes in, but Chicago responded scoring eight points in the first. Carlos Munoz and Aaron Nichols each had three point goals and Alex Megson hit the back of the net on his own.

Both teams' defense held strong in the second quarter letting no balls make it in the net. The Lancers were able to make a slight comeback in the third with Stephen Basso’s three point goal, and Mauricio Salles and Doug Miller each coming in for two points. The quarter ended 9-11 with Soul still in the lead.

In the fourth, Rochester surpassed Chicago, scoring 10 points to Soul's four. Salles ended the game with a three goal hat trick and Miller scored the game winning goal.

Salles led the Lancers offensively with seven points. Miller and Gary Boughton each with two goals for the evening.

The Lancers have Saturday off, returning to the field on Sunday, February 10th when they visit the Milwaukee Wave (16-2) at 4:00 pm at the US Cellular Arena.

Rochester has already lost to Milwaukee twice this season.
