Aquinas Institute boxers took to the ring Friday night for the 81st annual Mission Bouts. It's an annual boxing event held to raise money for the Basilian Father's Missions.
High school athletes who participate in the Mission Bouts go through three months of conditioning and training in order to compete.
"It's a heck of a tradition for the school. It's a unique tradition, it's great for the school,
it's done for a good cause, to raise money for the missions. The kids learn so much from it," said Dom Arioli, boxing coach.
Mission Bouts is the oldest and most successful high school boxing program in the country.
