A slow start doomed the Sabres on Sunday night, and now they have a fairly quick turnaround, preparing to face the Rangers on Tuesday.

Coach Ron Rolston continued his quest to clean up the bad habits with a full practice session Monday. Tyler Ennis was given the day off, and Rolston said he's day to day.

Ville Leino is on the verge of returning. Rolston called him a gametime decision for Tuesday's faceoff. He's yet to play this year, recovering from a hip injury. Jordan Leopold is also a strong possibility to return to the lineup for the Rangers game.

"That's really the next phase for him and (Leopold) is really just that transition back into the team, is coming back in and being successful, one; but also fitting in with the team and getting that chemistry back, because they've missed some time here," Rolston said.

:You want to be playing and helping out the team, especially when we're struggling a little bit. It's not fun losing, even if you're not playing," Leino said.
