Getting ready to host Carolina on Sunday, one area the Bills need to improve on is sustaining drives, something they had trouble with in the Week One loss to the Patriots.
One long drive aside that led to six points and the lead to start the second half, the Bills had trouble moving the ball. Converting on third down was one of the big issues, as the team converted on just four of 13 chances.
"We might have missed a hole here, missed a hole there. As far as throwing the ball, might have missed a read, something like that. There’s always something very small and minute that kind of not necessary costs you the game, but those long drives that you want to get, those 3rd-and-2s that we may not have converted, those 3rd-and-6s that we didn’t convert. There’s always something very minute that we may not have gotten," said quarterback EJ Manuel.
"We just have to be on the field more and sustaining drives. Just be on the field more. I think the more we're on the field on Sunday, the better off out offense will be," said wide receiver Stevie Johnson.
