The Bills welcome in the NFL's only unbeaten team to Ralph Wilson Stadium Sunday afternoon, and they'll have to do it with major questions at the quarterback position.
Thad Lewis is doubtful to play against the Chiefs with sore ribs. If he can't go, rookie Jeff Tuel could get the start. He's been dueling with newcomer Matt Flynn in practice this week.
C.J. Spiller likely makes his return and could be a help to whoever's under center. Spiller is probable after missing last week with a nagging ankle injury.
Bills face a Kansas City defense that leads the NFL in sacks and gives up a league-low in points per game. It's just another challenge for a Bills team that's been facing them all year.
"It is adversity," Spiller said. "And you face that, and you kind of develop your team when you're faced with adversity. We were hit hard at the quarterback and running back, key positions, guys having to step up. We're definitely not at full strength and it's going to be a beauty to see when we have everybody at full strength and seeing what we're capable of doing."
