Saratoga Springs is a great New York State Getaway. And if you're looking for good food recommendations, may I offer a few ideas!
Breakfast at the Triangle Diner, 400 Maple Avenue, is a great way to start your day! This family-run operation does breakfast and lunch with a Sunday brunch. Try the corned beef hash...made from scratch! Yum! (518) 583-6368
Lunch is all about hots and hamburgers and some pretty good mac salad at Cappie's Drive-In, 264 Route 67 in Amsterdam, N.Y. A half-hour ride out of Saratoga Springs or maybe heading back to the thruway. Their homemade ice cream is worth the drive! (518) 843-3544
Dinner in Saratoga Springs has to be at Hattie's, 45 Phila Street, with authentic low-country southern and Louisiana cuisine! It's very affordable and casual with indoor and outdoor seating. You have to try the 'Fried Chicken'! The best i've ever had! (518) 584-4790
