*Holiday Valley in Ellicottville, south of Buffalo, is more than skiing! Check out the Sky High Mountain Coaster! Even in the middle of winter, this steel coaster with 'alpine slide like' cars provide a great, thrilling downhill ride!

*Greek Peak in Cortland, N.Y. has a new steel coaster too! The Nor'Easter takes a steep climb up the hill then lets gravity take you down the twists and turns along the hilly terrain. It's a blast! Dress warm! The coaster is just one part of the new outdoor Adventure Center!

*For more outdoor fun, try your local snowtubing park! There are many across the state, many at local ski resorts. The newest in the state is Glacier Ridge Snowtubing in Spencerport in the Rochester area.

*Indoor waterparks are a big hit this time of year. Get out of the cold and into 86 degrees at 'Cascades Waterpark' at Greek Peak Resort in Cortland or 'Fallsview Waterpark' in Niagara Falls, Canada. Both are great for family fun and offer day passes.

*Museums are warm inside too! One of the great ones we have in our state in the New York State Museum in Albany, N.Y. You'll take a journey through one exhibit after another from the Adirondacks to New York City. 2 must-see exhibits... The 9/11 Exhibit and the Civil War Exhibit. Closed Mondays. Free admission!
