Nothnagle Moves To Downtown Rochester
Nothnagle Realtors has two buildings already in use on Monroe Avenue in Brighton, but the company is about to
make a big move to the city.
"We have been on Monroe Ave. for approximately 30 years. We also have a facility on University Ave., and as the company grew and grew we needed more space, but we needed more efficient space. So, our men and I started looking at various locations both inside and outside the city of Rochester," said Phillip Nothnagle, CEO.
The new location will be right in the heart of downtown Rochester. The headquarters for Nothnagle will be in the historic Cascade District. The building has more than 27,000 square feet, but renovations are needed.
"We have some stimulus fund that we are using, and we have loans
and existence programs that is really based on jobs
created. We did have incentives to put forth to get them
here," said Mayor Robert Duffy.
The total cost of renovations will be close to $4 million. Mayor Duffy says he hopes more businesses come to Rochester.
"I think we are on a growth and change, and I think things are changing dramatically and the city has to be prepared," said Mayor Duffy.
"We are going to bring a lot of people working downtown. We
are going to create new jobs. Hopefully, they will visit
downtown often, and, hopefully, they will bring other people
downtown, and we think other companies may follow," said Armand D'Alfonso, President and CEO of Nothnagle.
The realtor hopes to begin renovations at its new home by
this summer.
